INSTITUTIONAL ADOPTION AND GRANT ASSISTANCE
Institutional Adoption
Teaching as Emotional and Relational Practice is available to colleges and universities through institutional licensing. The course is designed for delivery by faculty at the adopting institution and integration into existing teacher preparation programs.
The Center for Sustainable Teaching provides a complete course package, enabling institutions to implement the course within their own academic structures.
The licensed course package includes:
- Comprehensive facilitator guide
- Fully developed course syllabus
- Structured instructional modules
- Slide presentations supporting each module
- Foundational research, readings, and instructional resources
Assessment and Evaluation Package, including:
- Classroom observation/analysis assignment
- Reflective and applied written assignments
- Final examination
- Assessment rubrics and evaluation tools
Institutions retain full responsibility for course approval, instructor assignment, and integration within their academic programs.
Implementation
The course is fully developed and ready for institutional use. No course design work is required.
Institutions may integrate the course as:
- An undergraduate teacher preparation course
- A graduate-level course (M.Ed., MAT, or certification programs)
- A special topics or elective course
- A seminar supporting teacher preparation or professional institution.
The institutional license provides:
- Perpetual institutional rights for course delivery
- No per-student licensing fees
- No annual renewal requirement
- Full access to licensed instructional materials
Licensing arrangements may be customized based on institutional needs.
Grant Assistance for Early Adopters
The Center for Sustainable Teaching is committed to supporting institutions that recognize the importance of preparing teachers for the emotional and relational realities of professional practice.
Limited grant assistance may be available to early adopting institutions to support initial implementation. Additional information regarding eligibility and availability may be provided upon institutional inquiry.
